When all schools from the state come together to enjoy JSA as a community, we as students regain the drive to be the people. Between conventions, we rely on club meetings and mini-cons to get us through to the next state convention. Because the Junior States of America (JSA) prides itself in being a student-run organization, the annual election for next year’s state and regional officials is a very important tradition. Here in the Northern California branch of this growing student organization, the Spring State convention that takes place at the Santa Clara Marriot Hotel every April is the final destination for those blazing the campaign trail in the several months preceding the event.
